Muna Omari

Muna Sobhi Omari was born in Damascus on 05/20/1940 to a large family. She grew up in Damascus, the oldest continuously inhabited city, and she absorbed the city's mix of cultures. Muna's love for seeking knowledge and love for meeting and knowing people was passed to her by her father. It led her on a life long journey of seeking truth and beauty in all their expressions.

Muna's primary artistic expression is painting and calligraphy on glass inviting meditation on the form and meaning of the words and dots adorning her art.

منى صبحي العمري وُلدت في دمشق في ١٩٤٠/٥/٢٠ لأسرة كبيرة. نشأت في دمشق، مهد الحضارات، و ترعرعت بظل ثقافاتها المتعددة. ورثت منى شغفها للبحث عن حقيقة و معنى الحياة و حبها للتعرف على الناس من والدها. هذا الشغف قادها في رحلة حياة طويلة من البحث عن الحقيقة والجمال في جميع تعابيرهم.

التعبير الفني الرئيسي لمنى هو الرسم والخط على الزجاج الذي يدعو إلى التأمل في شكل ومعنى الكلمات والنقاط التي تزين فنها.
